Below are some ideas you might like to consider to decrease your expenses:
- Look at your Fixed Expenses (non discretionary) and Optional Expenses (discretionary).
- Start with your Optional Expenses (discretionary) and see which ones of these you can cut down – these are discretionary expenses and are the nice to haves. It is generally easier to cut these costs down than trying to cut down your fixed expenses (non discretionary)
- Go through your Fixed Expenses (non discretionary) as there are likely to be items in here that you can trim down. Alternatively, you might make the decision to forego something now to allow you to achieve some thing else in the future
