Children : Clothes

• Don’t be pressured into feeling that you have to buy your children designer label clothes. There are good quality clothes available in department stores that will suit your children’s needs very well.
• Don’t make a rod for your own back. If you set the scene for your children that they get designer label clothes, then it will be very hard for you to suddenly ask them to wear clothes that are purchased which are made by an unknown label.
• Don’t buy loads and loads of clothes for your children as they will grow very quickly and the last thing you want is lots of unworn clothes that no longer fit your child.
• Swap / trade clothes with friends / family. If you want your item back ensure you put a tag on the clothes with your name and phone number.
• Teach your children to protect their clothes. Encourage them to wear paint shirts when doing painting, outdoor clothes when out in the yard etc.
